Data Viewer
The CIRGIS DataViewer is an online GIS that interactively displays geographic data in the Southern California Region. The viewer contains the imagery from our 2010 CIRGIS Collaborative Aerial Project to demonstrate its extent and level of detail. The files are very large (200+ GB). The web site imagery has been optimized for faster rendering interaction; as a result the resolution is somewhat reduced from the original. Full resolution copies of the imagery are available for purchase until May 1, 2012, contact Mary Hurley (marycookhurley@gmail.com) for a purchase quote. The full resolution imagery will be placed into the public domain by the USGS and, when published, may be down loaded free from their web site at http://www.usgs.gov/pubprod/aerial.html.
FTP
Disclaimer: The CIRGIS FTP server supports a maximum of three (3) simultaneous transfer connections. The server accepts anonymous FTP transfers, but will prompt for a username if those three connections are filled. In this event, please try again later or contact us if the problem persists.

Other Data
CIRGIS members and other holders of geographic data receive help in the creation of their metadata via a Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) grant. As of May 2004, hundreds of datasets have been documented with listings posted on the California Environmental Information Clearinghouse. Check out the Collaborating Catalogs to see what data has been created in our region.
